2002 - Sixth Annual Russian Investment Symposium

The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and Dow Jones Present

The 6th Annual Russian Investment Symposium
New Opportunities for Investment
Thursday 14, Friday 15 & Saturday 16 November 2002
Boston Marriott Copley Place, Boston

The theme for this year's event is taken from the letter written to participants last year by President Bush and accurately reflects the dramatic transformation which has been achieved in the Russian economy. As Minister of Trade and Economic Development Gref recently noted in Washington, Russia has moved from an economy at risk in 1998 to an economy, which, with last year's results, celebrated three consecutive years of solid economic gain. This year's event will bring together some 500 selected top-level US, Russian, and international business and government leaders to discuss the current economic climate in Russia and opportunities for investment. Topics of special interest include Russia and the World Trade Organization, Russian banking reform, St. Petersburg's upcoming 300th anniversary celebration and the rise of Russia's young entrepreneurial class. This year's program will focus more on interviews with the opinion makers and increased audience interaction with a reduction in formal prepared presentations. The goal is to allow those in attendance to probe the speakers to gain a full and complete understanding of the critical issues.

Who should attend: US, Russian and International Government Officials; Senior executives from International Financial Institutions; CEOS, CFOs and Managing Directors from Russian Industry; Senior Executives from US and International Corporations; Corporate Investors; Investment Brokers, Analysts and Heads of Emerging Markets; Law Firms and Financial Institutions with an interest in Russia.
